Honoring the Mother
A mother blessing ceremony, a village gathering, and the beginning of something that has been forgotten.
This is a gathering in the oldest tradition... women coming together to hold, bless, and witness the mothers in their community. To pour into them before they pour themselves out completely. To awaken remembering that the village has never left.
We will gather in circle. We will open in song. We will set expecting mothers as the alter and offer them our blessing, our prayer, and our presence. We will nourish them. And at the close of our time together, we will announce the beginning of something this community has needed for a long time.
Everything you need to know before you arrive.

Bring your body
That is enough. Bring yourself just as you are, and we will create the rest together.
Come as you are — mother, or village.
Pregnant Women
You are the reason we are gathering. Come to be held, to be seen, to be blessed, and to be nourished by your sisters. Let the world slow down as you deepen in attunement to this sacred threshold.

You are the village. You are the hands, the voice, the witness. Come to pour into the mothers in your community. Come to learn what a mother blessing looks and feels like, so you can bring this into your own circles.

The mothers in our lineage were blessed by their sisters. They were sung over. They were fed. They were witnessed.
We are remembering how.
